故事叙述一位从小被养在巴黎圣母院钟楼的敲钟人Quasimodo的故事，他天生身形与长相都异于常人，只能独自在锺楼上与世隔绝，直到他在一场嘉年华会上遇到了吉卜赛女郎Esmeralda，他的世界才逐渐开始不同。
